the Search page you can access all the information available in our
documental data base.
NOTE:
In this site you will find a greater selection of documentation in
Spanish than in other languages. Searches by indicators are not
language sensitive (unless you select a language). Searches by
keyword are exact, and therefore are language sensitive.

Search
by indicators
Each
document has been classified by indicators (themes
and subthemes, organization, country, language, author and date)
to facilitate research.
1.-
Select one or several indicators from the categories you need.
We
recommend starting with few indicators and refining the search if
too many documents result.
You
can select one or more subthemes in each theme.
If
you select the theme title (eg. ECONOMY),
you will automatically select all the subthemes of this theme
(Agriculture, Development,
Economic Policy, etc.) as well as any documents classified as
"Economy in general", obviating the need to also mark the
subthemes.
Selection
is always AND, eg. if you seclect Foreign Debt, Brazil, you will
obtain documents referred to both the foreign debt AND Brazil.
Selections
can be cross-referenced among themes, organizations, country, author
and date.

at the end of the page to carry out the search.

The results page contains the following data:
Country:
document title (author)
[date]

Click on the title to see the content of the document. If you wish to
revise another title, return to the previous screen with "back"
from your navigator's toolbar, or click on Back at the end of
the document.

If you need to refine the search, return to the search page and
select additional indicators, then click on GO
.
6.
For a new search, click on Search page at the end of the page,
or return with "Back" and click on "Reset"
(at the end of the search page) before making your new selection.
Search
by author
This
option can be used alone or combined with others.
Options
If
you need to search on a particular author, from any search results
page or document where his/her name appears you can click on the
author's name, without needing to go back to the search page.
Similarly, with the indicators that appear at the top of each
document.
Search
by keywords in the text
If
you do not find the term in the theme options, at the end of the
search page there is a "By Keyword" full text search
option. Enter the page and write the word or words in the box.
